For your baby's health and safety, it is crucial to follow these preparation and serving instructions meticulously:
- Spoon-Feeding is a Must: Always spoon-feed the porridge to your baby. This ensures they eat safely and manageably.
- Fresh Preparation: Prepare the porridge fresh for each meal to ensure freshness and prevent bacterial growth.
- Avoid Microwaving: Do not heat the milk porridge in the microwave as it poses a risk of scalding.
Water and Porridge Powder Measurement:
- Always use freshly boiled water for each meal.
- Let the boiled water cool down to approximately 50°C (122°F).
- Follow the dosage table to measure the correct amount of porridge powder and water based on your baby’s age and appetite.
Mixing Instructions:
- Pour the measured porridge powder into a clean porridge plate.
- Add the measured amount of boiled water to the powder.
- Stir thoroughly to mix the porridge and water until well combined.
- Allow the mixture to swell to achieve the desired consistency.
- Always check the temperature before feeding, ideally using the HiPP thermometer to ensure it is safe to eat.
Dosage Table:
- From the 6th Month: 45 g (about 4 tablespoons) of porridge powder + 140 ml of water yields approximately 185 g of prepared porridge.
- From the 8th Month: 50 g (4-5 tablespoons) of porridge powder + 155 ml of water yields approximately 205 g of prepared porridge.
- For Smaller Portions: 40 g (3-4 tablespoons) of porridge powder + 130 ml of water yields approximately 170 g of prepared porridge.
